About

Maisy Aykroyd is a Cambridge based botanical artist, recently graduating with a BA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts. Her work features vulnerable and emotive themes including love, grief, commemoration, and personal heritage. Inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of Ikebana, she combines her passion for flower arranging with photography and printmaking to create highly detailed, intricate imagery. Aykroyd uses her practice as a cathartic means of honouring and connecting with her loved ones (especially those she has lost) through their collective appreciation for the natural world. She hopes to provide a quiet space for transient reflection, encouraging mindfulness, healing, and spiritual growth.
